This month we're going to be learning F# by going through Chris Marinos's excellent F# Koans. The koans take you on a journey from absolute beginner to someone ready to start their own F# project. They do this by guiding you through a series of unit tests. Every time you make one pass you learn something new about the syntax and power of F#.
We'll have a few laptops available and people can share, but it would be helpful if you brought a laptop with Visual Studio and F# installed and ready to roll with the F# koans downloaded. It should be possible to get F# running with a free version of Visual Studio, but this will require some Googling. F# will work on both Visual Studio 2010 and 2012.
